MOE bus timings

RTA buses run from roughly 4 am to 1 am across Dubai, per the RTA timetable. The feeder routes at MOE are timed around the metro, so they usually follow its hours: 5 am to midnight on most days, to 1 am after Friday, and from 8 am on Sunday.

Schedules also differ by day. Sunday timetables tend to start later and run fewer trips, in line with the metro’s 8 am Sunday opening, so check S’hail before a Sunday trip.

Metro plus feeder: the usual way to commute

For most JVC, Arjan or Sports City residents, the fastest public transport trip to work is a feeder bus to MOE, then the Red Line. The mall end of the trip is easy: the metro station and bus bays are side by side.

The weak point is the feeder leg at peak times, when road traffic around Al Barsha South and Hessa Street can slow buses down. If you can, check live arrivals in S’hail before leaving home rather than waiting at the stop.

Our Red Line stations guide shows where the train goes from MOE: Downtown and DIFC to the east, and the Marina and Expo 2020 to the west.

How to get to MOE bus station

By metro. Red Line to Mall of the Emirates (R32). The bus bays are next to the station.

From Bur Dubai. Route 93 from Al Ghubaiba, or the Green Line to BurJuman and then the Red Line.

From Dubai Mall. Route 81, or the Red Line from Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station.

By car. Mall parking is run by the mall, not RTA, and its own rules apply. For free park and ride with the metro, use Centrepoint, National Paints or e&.

Mistakes people make at MOE

Using old route lists. F29 and 84 no longer start here.

Expecting Sunday-morning feeders at 5 am. Many feeders start later on Sunday.

Waiting for the bus when the metro is faster. For Dubai Mall or Bur Dubai, the metro usually wins.

Getting off at the wrong JVC stop. JVC is large. Check your stop name in S’hail before boarding J01.

Frequently asked questions

Which bus goes from Mall of the Emirates to JVC?

Route J01 runs from Mall of the Emirates metro station to Jumeirah Village Circle. JVC has no metro station, so this is the main public transport link. Check the stop list in S’hail to find the stop nearest your building, because the community is large and the route loops through it.

Is there a bus from MOE to Global Village?

In season, yes. During the 2025–26 Global Village season, RTA ran route 106 from Mall of the Emirates to Global Village every 60 minutes. The season usually starts in mid-October. RTA confirms seasonal routes each year, so check its announcement for the current season.

Which bus goes from MOE to Arjan or Sports City?

F36 runs to Arjan and, since July 2026, also serves Al Barsha South 2. F37 runs to Dubai Sports City. Both are metro feeder routes, timed around Red Line trains at Mall of the Emirates station, and paid with a nol card at normal zone fares.

What time does the last bus leave the MOE bus station?

It depends on the route. Feeder buses broadly follow metro hours, so many run until around midnight, or later after Friday. RTA’s network runs until about 1 am. Each route has its own last departure, so check the S’hail app before an evening trip.

Can I take a bus from MOE to Al Ghubaiba?

Yes. Route 93 links Mall of the Emirates metro station with Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Bur Dubai. The Red Line to BurJuman, then the Green Line, is usually faster, but the bus avoids changing trains. Both use the same nol card and zone fares.

Getting around from Mall of the Emirates bus station

Mall of the Emirates bus station is the link between the Red Line and the inland communities with no metro: JVC, Arjan, The Greens, Sports City and more. Check S’hail for the exact feeder times, especially on Sundays.

For every bus station and route type, see our Dubai bus guide. For the full network, read the Dubai public transport guide, or visit the Live In Gulf homepage.

Disclaimer: routes are based on RTA route data and announcements checked in October 2026. RTA changes routes regularly, so confirm in the S’hail app before you travel.
